Dionysus is in a kitchen, apron tied over a purple dress with vine details, singing to himself as he uses a melon baller to scoop out a watermelon. The large bowl next to him is already full of honeydew melon and cantaloupe, and he's got a few other ingredients nearby ready to add in once he's done with the watermelon. Mint leaves, some honey, some lemon juice, and some lime juice.

It has been quite an eventful time lately, but overall his life is pretty great right now.

"Probably," he says, looking around to see if any coffee will materialize itself. "Also, I think we should try the drinks we are making for them as well. As, you know, a bonding activity."

[futaille]

"Obviously." He grins, fairly confident Dionysus will manage to find some coffee somewhere, and reaches for the cups himself.

"Another wine, appropriately! Riesling... Dr Pepper?... and muddled raspberries."

[vineleaves]

"Oh, Dr Pepper is a soda," he explains as he simultaneously makes a bottle of Riesling appear on the counter and pulls a whole ass jug of ΣΤΑΡΜΠΑΚΣ brand cold brew out from behind a bottle of whiskey.

[futaille]

"I hope it's a good soda." He starts looking for some.

[vineleaves]

Dionysus takes a sip of the Syrah before he starts divvying it up between three glasses, then pours a bit of the coffee into each. "It's alright, as far as sodas go, I suppose."

[futaille]

Grantaire finds a can of Dr Pepper and sets it on the counter before looking for some raspberries. "Of course, I know it's not your beverage of choice."

[vineleaves]

"As we all know, my beverage of choice is milk," he says with as much seriousness as he can muster.

[futaille]

He laughs, finding some raspberries and doling them out into three glasses to start off with. "Grape milk, right?" He adds some sugar and gets to smushing the berries.

[vineleaves]

"Yes. From grape cows."

[futaille]

"With their pendulous grape udders."

[vineleaves]

Dionysus bursts into laughter at that. "Very evocative phrasing, love."

[futaille]

He laughs again and has a swig of the Riesling before pouring it and the Dr Pepper into the glasses along with the raspberries. "Glad you enjoyed it."

[vineleaves]

"Much more than I'm probably going to enjoy this," he gestures to the wine coffee, but he does still seem rather lighthearted about it all.

[futaille]

"Well, at least we'll experience it together."

[vineleaves]

"Wouldn't have it any other way," he says with a grin as he hands one of the glasses to Grantaire.

[futaille]

He takes his glass and lifts it. "Cheers."

[vineleaves]

He taps his glass to Grantaire's, then to the one for the mansion spirits for good measure, and takes a big sip. It's entirely possible that if he liked coffee he might enjoy this. Not very likely, but there is at least a small possibility there. As it stands, he does not like coffee, and this just feels like a way to ruin his perfectly good wine. "That's terrible," he says with a grin. Not even gross drinks can ruin the mood he's in right now.

[futaille]

Grantaire takes a long drink of his own. "Huh. It could be worse, but it certainly does no favors to the wine or the coffee."

[vineleaves]

"I hope getting our apartment isn't dependent upon the spirits enjoying what we are leaving them as an offering. We might be in a bad shape if that's the case," he laughs, and takes another sip of the coffee wine.

[futaille]

"The true offering in this particular case, I think, is the symbolism. Two indulgences in one! I'm sure they'll enjoy the concept, at the very least."

[vineleaves]

"That's a very excellent point, darling. Besides, if they didn't want to potentially have a disgusting offering, they could've just temporarily hidden the cups from us," he says with a shrug.

[futaille]

"Or taken slips away, as they've certainly added some." He polishes off his coffee wine.

[vineleaves]

"Another excellent point! It's entirely possible that this is actually their drink of choice." It's not, it's really not, but Dionysus doesn't know that.

[futaille]

"It could very well be¹. We know they're odd, after all."

¹It's still not.

[vineleaves]

Dionysus drains the rest of his coffee wine and sets that glass down, so he can pick up the Dr Pepper wine instead. "I'm... cautiously optimistic that this might be better, but I suppose it could also be worse."
