Dionysus is in a kitchen, apron tied over a purple dress with vine details, singing to himself as he uses a melon baller to scoop out a watermelon. The large bowl next to him is already full of honeydew melon and cantaloupe, and he's got a few other ingredients nearby ready to add in once he's done with the watermelon. Mint leaves, some honey, some lemon juice, and some lime juice.

It has been quite an eventful time lately, but overall his life is pretty great right now.

“I’m sticking to French for everything else I say for the rest of the day,” he says, in French.

[futaille]

"You don't have to do that, you know. I still figured the joke out."

[vineleaves]

“I mean, I usually speak in French around you anyway.”

[futaille]

"That's because you're extremely sweet. I can speak some ancient Greek, but I don't think it's enough to hold a whole conversation."

[vineleaves]

"Sadly I doubt we'd even be able to teach you more if you wanted to learn, because if I tried to tell you a word you'd probably just hear it in French, is my guess. ...Sagramore and Laertes did say there's somewhere in the tower that doesn't do the translations though."

[futaille]

"There is! It's a room that looks like a wizard's study. I've been there. But I don't think I need more Greek lessons anyway."

[vineleaves]

"You don't! Because I know French. And a handful of other languages." This is, of course, an extreme understatement.

[futaille]

"I think you know several handfuls of other languages."

[vineleaves]

"That depends on how many languages fit in one hand, I guess."

[futaille]

"I think that that depends on how big the hand is."

[vineleaves]

"Ah yes, how could I overlook such an obvious fact."

[futaille]

"That's a very good question. I suppose it might depend on how big the language is, too, although that might be slightly more difficult to measure."

[vineleaves]

"And are we going by how long it is written out? Because that would be a terrible idea, as some languages don't get written down in the first place. Not to mention languages that have shifted over time, at what point exactly do we start considering it a completely different language that needs a new measurement taken?"

[futaille]

"Maybe you just have to measure them by the vibes."

[vineleaves]

“That seems reasonable.”

[futaille]

"I'm still not sure how helpful it is toward our goal, though."

[vineleaves]

“I think our goal is also vibes based, so…”

[futaille]

"I think most of my goals are vibes based."

[vineleaves]

“Meanwhile I just avoid it altogether by not having goals in the first place, vibe based or otherwise.”

[futaille]

"I don't think that's true."

[vineleaves]

"...Okay, fair. Right now my goal is to snuggle with you. And I've accomplished that. Good job, me."

[futaille]

He laughs and gives Dionysus a kiss. "You have the best goals."

[vineleaves]

"Mmmm, yes, this is definitely one of the best goals anyone's ever had."

[futaille]

A little smile, then. "I'm so glad you like it."

[vineleaves]

"What, snuggling you? What's not to like? Snuggles? Good. You? Good."
