Dionysus is in a kitchen, apron tied over a purple dress with vine details, singing to himself as he uses a melon baller to scoop out a watermelon. The large bowl next to him is already full of honeydew melon and cantaloupe, and he's got a few other ingredients nearby ready to add in once he's done with the watermelon. Mint leaves, some honey, some lemon juice, and some lime juice.

It has been quite an eventful time lately, but overall his life is pretty great right now.

"You're so sweet." He draws. "Chambord... Another alcohol..." He draws again from the first mug "...so a Pinot Grigio... and a banana slice."

[vineleaves]

He laughs. "A banana! It's basically another smoothie."

[futaille]

"Just an unblended one?"

[vineleaves]

"Exactly! ...I mean, I suppose you could add ice and blend it all up if you really wanted. Is that against the rules?"

[futaille]

"Sometimes the extra is a serving suggestion, so probably."

[vineleaves]

"Ah. We wouldn't want to cheat at the game," he says in a tone that suggests he actually wouldn't mind cheating at the game.

[futaille]

"Exactly," Grantaire says as if he didn't absolutely understand the tone. He goes to fetch Chambord and Pinot Grigio.

[vineleaves]

Dionysus takes another sip of his wine, then goes to find a banana to slice up.

[futaille]

"And we can also just eat the rest of the banana." He pours the drinks into a glass.

[vineleaves]

“A great idea, as always.” Dionysus cuts off one slice of the banana and drops it in Grantaire’s glass.

[futaille]

"Perfect." He takes a long sip of the drink, collecting the banana slice at the end.

[vineleaves]

"Better than cicadas?"

[futaille]

"Depends on what you're in the mood for, I think. This goes better together overall, I'd say, than the last one."

[vineleaves]

"Can I try?"

[futaille]

He pushes it over. "Of course! You'll need a new banana slice, though."

[vineleaves]

"Oh, true!" He cuts another slice of banana and drops it in before taking a big sip. "Oh, yeah, that is better."

[futaille]

"We finished off on a high note, then!"

[vineleaves]

"I'd say so!" To celebrate, he pulls Grantaire into a kiss.

[futaille]

He kisses back quite happily.

[vineleaves]

"Okay," he says once they part. "Do you wanna go see if it worked?"

[futaille]

"Absolutely."

[vineleaves]

"Let's go!" He takes Grantaire's hand and starts heading for the door.

[futaille]

Grantaire twines their fingers together and walks along.

[vineleaves]

As they walk, Dionysus idly rubs his thumb over the back of Grantaire's hand. "Hopefully they appreciate the drinks we made them."

[futaille]

He gives Dionysus's hand a soft squeeze. "They'll at least appreciate the spirit that we gave them in."
