Open: All that you are is a face in the mirror

That was certainly a weird dream. If he hadn't experienced everyone else being ...weird alternate versions, he wouldn't think anything of it, but considering the fact that he had, he is now wondering if it happened to him, as well.

First order of business though is of course checking on Mercutio, to make sure he is back. Once that particular fear is gone, he decides breakfast is in order, then he should check up on the garden. Hopefully today will be normal and uneventful.



If anyone would like to speak with regular Dionysus now that he is no longer an AU, feel free! Or honestly if you just want to talk to him anyway, that's fine too.

"Of course. I was just reiterating."

"Well it is important to have reminders I suppose."

"Precisely. I'd hate to have you forget I'm not biased."

[vineleaves]

"...You can be, maybe, a little biased, if you want."

"Oh, good. I don't know how long I could have pretended."

[vineleaves]

Dionysus laughs and kisses Grantaire.

[futaille]

He kisses back, of course. On account of being biased.

His hands find their way to Grantaire’s cravat, which he starts to untie.

He stretches his neck out as best he can while still kissing Dionysus, so he can give him at least a little room to work.

[vineleaves]

“Never understood,” he says between kisses, “why everyone wore these for so long. Can’t let anyone see a neck, gotta keep it wrapped up with seventy two layers of cloth…” At least Grantaire’s isn’t terribly done up, and Dionysus gets it undone relatively quickly.

[futaille]

He laughs. "Seventy-two would be excessive."

[vineleaves]

"Mmhmm," he says. "Anything over a sensible seventy layers is just ridiculous."

[futaille]

"What about in winter? Is it reasonable to add more for warmth then?"

[vineleaves]

"Oh no, definitely not. Don't be ridiculous, dear. That's when you just switch to flannel cravats."

[futaille]

He laughs. "Oh, is that how it's done?"

[vineleaves]

"Yes, I'm honestly confused as to why you wouldn't already know this. If it gets cold enough you just switch to -- wait, have you seen a puffy vest before?"

[futaille]

"A what now?"

[vineleaves]

He laughs. "Much more modern, but I didn't know if you'd maybe seen one here or not. Basically a quilted vest, but they're shiny polyester satin, and each section of the quilting sort of puffs out a bit. They're very warm but kind of ugly. I was going to say if it's very cold you could get a cravat like that. Joke doesn't work if you don't know what I'm talking about though, so you can imagine the stress I'm under."

[futaille]

He grins. "I will attempt to get the closet to make me a cravat like that."

[vineleaves]

"There goes all hope of me being considered a benevolent god anymore, now that I've unleashed that curse upon the world."

[futaille]

And that makes him laugh. "Or maybe I'll go to the attic and ask our resident tailor to make one."

[vineleaves]

"Oh no, you can't inflict this on poor Kade as well," Dionysus laughs. "What did he ever do to you?"

[futaille]

"I'll tell him it was your idea."

[vineleaves]

“Noooo, he’ll haaaate me,” Dionysus giggles.

[futaille]

"Not possible," he says emphatically.
