That was certainly a weird dream. If he hadn't experienced everyone else being ...weird alternate versions, he wouldn't think anything of it, but considering the fact that he had, he is now wondering if it happened to him, as well.

First order of business though is of course checking on Mercutio, to make sure he is back. Once that particular fear is gone, he decides breakfast is in order, then he should check up on the garden. Hopefully today will be normal and uneventful.



If anyone would like to speak with regular Dionysus now that he is no longer an AU, feel free! Or honestly if you just want to talk to him anyway, that's fine too.

"You should mention what the other ones are."

"Second. You very quickly found the perfect place to put a garden."

"That had nothing to do with the mansion spirits and everything to do with my own efforts and expertise! It doesn't count!"

"But if the spirits didn't like you, they'd make every spot you checked utterly unsuitable. Yes, your expertise helped you find it, but it was there to be found."

"I think you're stretching."

"Think what you'd like. Third point, they brought you here before any other god."

[vineleaves]

"That's only if you're not counting Magnus, and he might as well count." Regardless of whatever certain other Dionysuses may or may not have said yesterday.

"Would Magnus even count himself?"

[vineleaves]

“He doesn’t. He absolutely doesn’t.”

"Then the point is still yours."

[vineleaves]

“I could argue that the fact I was the first god here is actually a point in your favor, not mine, as they knew you’d want me around during Dark.”

"I'm hardly the only drinker here. They chose you as the best option for us."

[vineleaves]

“I’m a community service!” He laughs, and kisses Grantaire.

He laughs around the kiss. "So you are."

[vineleaves]

“Is it my turn to list out the points in your favor or do you have more of mine?”

[futaille]

"List some, but I'm holding some in reserve."

[vineleaves]

"Ohh, I see how it is, you need me to stall so you can come up with something else. Fine then, for the first point, they're clearly hand-selecting residents for who they think would be best for you. Which you just admitted."

"That is clearly not the case, because I can name another half-dozen people at least who would be here in that case."

[vineleaves]

His arms around Grantaire get a little tighter. His second point was going to be, 'you are one of the people here with someone from home' but this seems like an inopportune time to bring that up, so he mentally scratches that off the list. For now. "Hey, you're the one who said they picked me because I'm able to make wine for you. Which -- speaking of --" he makes them a couple of glasses. "I've clearly been shirking my duties today. I hope you'll forgive me."

"I said it might be because you can make wine for everyone." He takes the glass. "But thank you."

[vineleaves]

"Next point, unless you have a secret hobby you haven't told me about, in which case shame on you, you get to indulge all of your hobbies here."

[futaille]

"I haven't really gotten to do any savate, although I don't think that counts as a secret hobby."

[vineleaves]

"You could try with Jared, I'm sure he'd be up for it."
