Dionysus is in a kitchen, apron tied over a purple dress with vine details, singing to himself as he uses a melon baller to scoop out a watermelon. The large bowl next to him is already full of honeydew melon and cantaloupe, and he's got a few other ingredients nearby ready to add in once he's done with the watermelon. Mint leaves, some honey, some lemon juice, and some lime juice.

It has been quite an eventful time lately, but overall his life is pretty great right now.

"Always, as far as I know. They fall from the moons."

[vineleaves]

"...Huh. Interesting."

[sporesprouter]

She nods. "Each moon makes a different kind."

[vineleaves]

"How many kinds are there?" He's clearly very curious about this. Partially because it's vine-related and he's, you know, himself, but also because he's incredibly nosy.

[sporesprouter]

"Twelve. Each kind does something different when water touches it."

[vineleaves]

"I'm on the edge of my seat, what do they all do?"

[sporesprouter]

"I haven't been to all of the seas yet, so there are some I don't actually know, but of the ones most used by sprouters... verdant spores turn to vines, sunlight spores flash into light and heat, rose spores make crystals, and zephyr spores make a burst of air. They're not really used on ships, but we sailed through the Crimson, so I can also tell you that crimson spores grow into sharp spikes."

[vineleaves]

"These are all incredibly specific things," he says, though he sounds delighted by it rather than judgmental, at least.

[sporesprouter]

"That makes sense. They all do pretty specific things."

[vineleaves]

"Amazing. Sorry if I'm being too nosy or anything, I'm just so intrigued by all this."

[sporesprouter]

"No, don't worry, it's fine. There's nothing wrong with wanting to learn something new."

[vineleaves]

"That's what I always say!" He doesn't, actually, always say that.

[sporesprouter]

"Then there you have it." She finishes scooping her melon half.

[vineleaves]

He definitely forgot what he was doing for a moment, but quickly finishes up combining the honey, juice, and chopped up mint, then dumps it unceremoniously into the bowl with the fruit before he starts stirring it all together. “Thank you, by the way.”

"Oh, you're welcome. It really is no trouble."

[vineleaves]

He dishes some of the fruit salad out into a couple of bowls and hands one over. "Here you go!"

[sporesprouter]

"Thank you!" She grabs a fork and starts in on it. "Oh, that's very good."

[vineleaves]

"Thank you, I'm glad you like it!"

[sporesprouter]

"It's very fresh tasting. Even outside of it just being fresh fruit."

[vineleaves]

“It’s amazing what a little citrus and mint can do!” He shoves a piece of cantaloupe in his mouth.

[sporesprouter]

"Not to mention the honey. It blends well."

[vineleaves]

"Oh, of course! I'd hate to fail to mention the honey, it's just as integral as everything else." Well, maybe not as integral as the actual fruit, but that's neither here nor there.

[sporesprouter]

"It wouldn't be quite the same without it, anyway."

[vineleaves]

"My sincerest of thanks to all of the cute little bees who have made this snackie possible."

"Yes, thank you bees. Your work is appreciated."
