Open: All that you are is a face in the mirror

That was certainly a weird dream. If he hadn't experienced everyone else being ...weird alternate versions, he wouldn't think anything of it, but considering the fact that he had, he is now wondering if it happened to him, as well.

First order of business though is of course checking on Mercutio, to make sure he is back. Once that particular fear is gone, he decides breakfast is in order, then he should check up on the garden. Hopefully today will be normal and uneventful.



If anyone would like to speak with regular Dionysus now that he is no longer an AU, feel free! Or honestly if you just want to talk to him anyway, that's fine too.

Sagramore kisses him back for a long moment before he says, "Well. I'd like thy help with something, at any rate, if thou'rt not busy."

[vineleaves]

"Of course, love. I'm never busy, and I'm especially never too busy for you."

[sagramore]

"Come back to the house with me?" He means their house, not the mansion.

[vineleaves]

“Oh, yeah, sure dear. What’s up?”

[sagramore]

He laughs. "It's a surprise, I'll show thee. I need thy help choosing, and then with the details."

[vineleaves]

“Oki doki, let’s go.”

[sagramore]

Sagramore takes one more moment of leaning against him, inhaling the musty scent of grapes, before straightening and reaching for his hand to lead him up to the house, Szarka at their heels.

When they arrive he puts the lightly crushed lilacs in water (without tempering the stems, Claudius help this man). Then he brings Dionysus into the bathroom and gets out his shaving kit. "I suspect thine eye for makeup is better than mine own."

[vineleaves]

Dionysus positively lights up. “Are we doing makeovers?!”

[sagramore]

He grins. "Thou wilt help turn me into the most beautiful woman in this whole world. I have a palette here -- wilt thou choose my colors while I shave my beard?"

[vineleaves]

Oh this is just the best news ever. “Wait! Before you do that—“ he trails a finger down Sagramore’s cheek, and leans over to kiss him. “Okay, sorry, had to say goodbye to it.”

[sagramore]

The grins widens. "It's well sent off."

[vineleaves]

"Oh! Speaking of hair," he starts rummaging through the box of makeup Sagramore has, opening things and generally seeing what all he has to work with here. "I've been thinking about growing mine out again, what d'you think, dear? Of course, then the mansion went and swapped me for a version who still had long hair, d'you think that's a coincidence?"

[sagramore]

"It was pretty," Sagramore says, as he begins lathering his face. "And obviously then thou canst put all sorts of ornaments and things in it, and let thy lovers play with it, and have it pulled during sex--"

[vineleaves]

"That's what I was thinking! Okay, glad we're on the same page here then. Just wish it wasn't going to take so long to grow out though. It's a shame I can't just do it instantly."

[sagramore]

"That would be useful. Is there a god of growing hair?"

[vineleaves]

He mentally scrolls through a rolodex of family members and acquaintances. "Don't think so. But a lot of gods can just--" he snaps "and look like whatever they want."

[sagramore]

"Well, they're cheating, and thou'rt doing it properly." He strops the razor a few times and begins to shave, which necessitates shutting up for a minute.

[vineleaves]

He laughs, still looking through the makeup and trying to decide on colors. "Are you feeling more reds and blacks or greens and browns?"

[sagramore]

A pause. "I look better in reds generally, but I don't want to be too severe."

[vineleaves]

"Hmm. Noted."

[sagramore]

He goes back to shaving. He's been letting his hair grow out again, and it's about the longest it gets before Laertes will cut it, his curls running wild on his neck, tied back with a green ribbon to keep them from getting in his face. Each time he draws the razor along the taut skin of his neck he rinses it, washing away hair and foam, and half his face is already clean-shaven.

[vineleaves]

At some point, Dionysus gets distracted from the makeup (a big deal) and is just staring dreamily at Sagramore while he shaves.

[sagramore]

Sagramore takes his time -- he often cleans up the edges of his beard to keep them tidy, but rarely shaves the whole thing off -- but eventually he finishes and reaches for a bottle of aftershave. "There. It's jarring, isn't it?" as he turns towards Dionysus, smiling.

[vineleaves]

He's still staring.


After a moment he realizes Sagramore said something to him, and he blinks. "What? Sorry."

[sagramore]

A laugh, and he kisses Dionysus' cheek. "Didn't miss a spot, did I?" He knows he didn't.
