There is a lot to do when it comes to planning a wedding, but the first matter of business is letting people know, especially those who Dionysus and Grantaire are close to. While Dionysus feels like he could crawl onto the roof of the mansion and just start joyfully yelling about it for everyone to hear, that's clearly not the best way to go about things. So in the days following their engagement they make a point to seek people out to give them the news.
