Dark has come and gone again, which means it’s time to party.

In some ways the party is very similar to last year’s - same large banquet room in the mansion, a similarly large abundance of food and drink, and the promise of a night full of letting loose for everyone in attendance. It’s far from a direct clone of the previous party though. For starters, Dionysus has had Claudius help him in all of the planning (sometimes a god’s blessings come in the form of enrichment for one’s enclosure). They’ve gotten several of the mansion’s residents to agree to play live music during the night, and Dionysus was able to find some, ah, more widely appreciated CDs to play during the breaks between performers.

The room has been decorated to the nines again, but where last year he had green vines draping on the walls diffusing the glow from the twinkling fairy lights, this year he has strung up swooping vines of silver, glittering almost like tinsel. The large food tables have an almost ridiculous amount of things to munch on; there should be something for everyone there.

It should go without saying that the beverage tables are well-stocked, considering the host.

The festivities are starting a little earlier this year than last, out of respect for those who may or may not have earlier bedtimes. Come dressed in your finest, it’s a yearly tradition now!

Just as there was last year, there is to be an ‘after party’. If your character is part of the standard Orgy Invite Crew, they will have received another invitation to that half of the evening as well. Just like last year, this part of the event is to be handwaved, for obvious reasons.

Sunny giggles. Apu is sooooo silly. "Second Quigley gonna eat it aaaaaall up!"

"Devour every morsel on the table! Sunny, plead with him to spare a crumb for the revelers."

"No him gonna eat it all up and then get as big as a godzillo! And if you nice to him he gonna let you ride on hims back but if you not nice to him he gonna smush you up!"

"Crush me under his giant paws!" tragically. Unfortunately, with his arms full of Sunny he can't do any dramatic gesturing, so he has to convey everything in his voice. "Alas! Spare me, great godzillo Quigley!"

"Him say because thou maked him he gonna be nice, BUT! Thou gottest to ... um... dance with him!"

"A challenge I can rise to! Thank Christ. Let me put thee down so I can pay my tithe."

"Put me down, get me apples, then dance with Second Quigley."

"Ah, yes, that's an important order." He places Sunny on the floor and begins filling the plate with apple slices.

"Apple slices is good food."

"That is a very salient point. Is it in your top ten?" Being Magnus' dad is rubbing off a bit.

"Yeah probaly. Hardtack is best food though." She didn't see any hardtack here though, which is just another reason why maybe Sissy and Claudi need lessons from Magnu in how to throw a good fun party. Magnu would totally have hardtack.

"Mmm, that's right." Hardtack has been a Sunny obsession since the ski lodge arrived before Dark, so this isn't novel information. Sagramore finishes loading the plate and crouches down to give it to Sunny. "It's a shame they left it off tonight's menu, isn't it?"

"Only Magnu know how to make a good party," she says with a sigh.

"Perhaps the two of us need to throw a party of our own."

"With coloring! And one of the bouncy things!"

"And what foods shall we serve?"

"Hardtack! And carrots! And chips! And cookies!"

"And apple slices?"

"Uh huh!" To make her point, she takes a BIIIIIIIIG bite of one of the apple slices Apu gave her. "Apu didst thou knowed that apple seeds is poison? But only if thou eatest three apples in one day."
