This post is backdated to be occurring on the last day of Rainbows. Thank you for your understanding :)

He isn't really sure how it happened, the first time. He went to make some jelly for toast, his thoughts drifted, perhaps, and he ended up not just with the jelly, but also with several bananas. This was, as you can imagine, a huge shock, and he actually jumped back when he first noticed them, startled by the absolute jumpscare of their appearance. He calmed down quickly enough, and started playing around to see what would happen.

In a way it makes sense. He has been able to tell that everything is more magical here this month, a complete opposite to the effect Dark had on things. During Dark his powers were weakened, so it would follow they are stronger now. He just didn't assume that would mean expanding his powers.

This, of course, brings us to now. It's early afternoon in one of the many parlors of the mansion, and he seems to finally have gotten the hang of things, as evidenced by the fact that he's absolutely surrounded by various fruits, fruit wines, preserves, vegetables, and even a few bags of rice. His thyrsus, which has scarcely left his side since he found it a few days ago, is resting against a wall. If his new powers are linked just to Rainbows, that means he has less than twelve hours to enjoy them. He's reasonably certain that the thyrsus will remain after the season changes.

And he's making mental notes for the Secret(ish) Molotov Cocktail Crew. "I wanna try a rootless one now," he says, flicking some pumpkin off his t-shirt.

"Aye aye captain," he says before making a rootless pumpkin for Magnus.

Magnus takes it and sets about concentrating on trying to make it grow. Not hollow, just... grow.

He waits to see how it goes this time.

And... nothing happens.

"I think I'm stuck to the old-fashioned way," Magnus shrugs, only a little disappointed.

"D'you want to try the other thing again? Maybe we can get it to not explode."

"Nah, it's cool. I don't want more pumpkin guts all over me." He will, however, be trying with Alex later!

"That's fair," he laughs, and goes back to growing the first pumpkin again.

"It's looking really good."

"Oh!" he says, getting an idea. "I should give it a chimney." He focuses on growing a little protrusion on the top.

"That's so cute, Uncle D."

"Aww, thanks. I hope she likes it."

"I bet she's going to love it."

"If she doesn't I'm sure she'll let us know immediately," he laughs. Soon enough the pumpkin house is big enough that Dionysus thinks he could probably comfortably sit inside it. "Shall I keep going?"

"Let's check it out and see what it's like?" Magnus suggests, hunkering down and peering into the door.

"Good idea," he says, squatting down as well.

Magnus crawls in. "Hey, Uncle D, this is really cool!"

"I want to see," he says, crawling in after Magnus. There's enough room for the both. Just barely.

"I feel like we should be having a tea party," Magnus jokes, leaning against the wall. "If, like, I liked tea." He pauses. "I mean, I do like bubble tea. But..."

Dionysus smirks and makes a play tea set. "I could make some juice if you don't like tea? Any kind actually, which is exciting, y'know."

"Sure. I like juice." If Magnus knew Uncle D could make mead now, he'd definitely ask for that... but he doesn't.

"Okay, what kind?"

"Um... fruit?"

Oh for crying out loud. Dionysus fills the teapot with some pog juice and pours some into both their cups.

Magnus takes his cup gingerly between his fingertips and sticks his pinky out. "Cheers, Uncle D," he says, holding his cup up to clink it. "Next time we're in here Sunny's definitely going to be in charge."
