Dionysus is in a kitchen, apron tied over a purple dress with vine details, singing to himself as he uses a melon baller to scoop out a watermelon. The large bowl next to him is already full of honeydew melon and cantaloupe, and he's got a few other ingredients nearby ready to add in once he's done with the watermelon. Mint leaves, some honey, some lemon juice, and some lime juice.

It has been quite an eventful time lately, but overall his life is pretty great right now.

"No, no-- it is helpful. I had not quite thought of that."

[vineleaves]

He smiles softly. "I'm glad it's helpful." He hesitates, then adds, "This -- all this, it's not the sort of thing that can get fixed or solved quickly, I'm afraid. Takes time and work. But it's not impossible to get better. I promise. And there's so many of us here who love and care about you, y'know."

"I do," dropping his gaze, smiling a little. "I have more friends here, now, than I have ever had before."

[vineleaves]

"I still can't get over that. You're so likeable. It's truly boggling that more people didn't see that."

[lanselos_du_lac]

He laughs, "Most at court would not call me likeable, but I think that is down more to my tendency to hold myself apart."

[vineleaves]

"Well, I'm calling you likeable, even if they wouldn't have."

[lanselos_du_lac]

"I thank thee," still laughing. Then, "I am glad of thee."

[vineleaves]

"Aww, thank you, dear," he says, genuinely touched. "You're such a sweet friend."

[lanselos_du_lac]

"Ah," he waves a hand, "it is easy to be sweet to folk like thee."
