Open: In a shout of joy at the only shrine where you come benighted and leave benign

Dark has come and gone again, which means it’s time to party.

In some ways the party is very similar to last year’s - same large banquet room in the mansion, a similarly large abundance of food and drink, and the promise of a night full of letting loose for everyone in attendance. It’s far from a direct clone of the previous party though. For starters, Dionysus has had Claudius help him in all of the planning (sometimes a god’s blessings come in the form of enrichment for one’s enclosure). They’ve gotten several of the mansion’s residents to agree to play live music during the night, and Dionysus was able to find some, ah, more widely appreciated CDs to play during the breaks between performers.

The room has been decorated to the nines again, but where last year he had green vines draping on the walls diffusing the glow from the twinkling fairy lights, this year he has strung up swooping vines of silver, glittering almost like tinsel. The large food tables have an almost ridiculous amount of things to munch on; there should be something for everyone there.

It should go without saying that the beverage tables are well-stocked, considering the host.

The festivities are starting a little earlier this year than last, out of respect for those who may or may not have earlier bedtimes. Come dressed in your finest, it’s a yearly tradition now!




Just as there was last year, there is to be an ‘after party’. If your character is part of the standard Orgy Invite Crew, they will have received another invitation to that half of the evening as well. Just like last year, this part of the event is to be handwaved, for obvious reasons.

"Exactly. So they can marvel at your brilliance." He gestures at the party. "What do you think?"

"Boooooooooooooooooooring."

"Right. What would make it less boring?"

[biteybaby]

"Something to do. Crowley you have ever played Pretty Pretty Princess game?"

[aflashbastard]

"...The what?"

[biteybaby]

"Pretty Pretty Princess game! I haves it at home but maybe I get one here too and us can play it right now."

[aflashbastard]

Crowley briefly wonders if he has anything better to do than play Pretty Pretty Princess with Sunny then realizes that no, he does not have anything better to do than play Pretty Pretty Princess. "Yeah, sure."

[biteybaby]

"Okay I go find one, I be riiiiight back." She runs off and crawls underneath a table with along tablecloth, then comes back out holding a big box with a princess on the front. "Okay I finded one!"

"Quick find. How do you play?"

[biteybaby]

"You spin the thing and move to a spot and when you get there it tell you which jewelry you gotta put on and if you get all you jewelry and also the big crown then you are the winner! But if you get the bad ring on then you can't win."

[aflashbastard]

Crowley listens, nodding solemnly. "Crown good, bad ring bad. Got it. Want to go first?" 

[biteybaby]

"Okay." She dumps everything out of the box and starts sorting it all out. "Which color you want to be? There's pink and blue and purple and green."

[aflashbastard]

"Green, I think." And then, because it's inevitable, Crowley sits down on the floor next to her. He can't see everything from all the way up there, after all.

[biteybaby]

"Okay I gonna be uhhhhhhhhh purple." She shoves all of the green jewelry to Crowley and takes all of the purple jewelry for herself. "So you gotta put you piece on the, um, the thing," a word which here means 'board', "and then us spin this thing," a phrase which here means 'spinner', "and it tell you how many to move you piece."

[aflashbastard]

Crowley nods. Put the piece on the thing, spin the thing, move the other thing. Easy. "Got it."

[biteybaby]

"I go first and show you." She makes the arrow spin around, and it lands on three. "One, two, three," she says, moving her little piece around. It ends up on an earring space. "So I gotta put on a earring. Um, Crowley, can you put it on for me? I not good at clipping it right."

[aflashbastard]

"Yeah, I got you." Crowley leans over and clips a purple earring on her right ear. "You know, you're getting a lot better at counting. Pretty soon you'll be able to count the piles of money¹ that you have. My pension too.²"

²Which he did secretly will out to Sunny in case of discorporation.
