Open: In a shout of joy at the only shrine where you come benighted and leave benign

Dark has come and gone again, which means it’s time to party.

In some ways the party is very similar to last year’s - same large banquet room in the mansion, a similarly large abundance of food and drink, and the promise of a night full of letting loose for everyone in attendance. It’s far from a direct clone of the previous party though. For starters, Dionysus has had Claudius help him in all of the planning (sometimes a god’s blessings come in the form of enrichment for one’s enclosure). They’ve gotten several of the mansion’s residents to agree to play live music during the night, and Dionysus was able to find some, ah, more widely appreciated CDs to play during the breaks between performers.

The room has been decorated to the nines again, but where last year he had green vines draping on the walls diffusing the glow from the twinkling fairy lights, this year he has strung up swooping vines of silver, glittering almost like tinsel. The large food tables have an almost ridiculous amount of things to munch on; there should be something for everyone there.

It should go without saying that the beverage tables are well-stocked, considering the host.

The festivities are starting a little earlier this year than last, out of respect for those who may or may not have earlier bedtimes. Come dressed in your finest, it’s a yearly tradition now!




Just as there was last year, there is to be an ‘after party’. If your character is part of the standard Orgy Invite Crew, they will have received another invitation to that half of the evening as well. Just like last year, this part of the event is to be handwaved, for obvious reasons.

"Awesome," Magnus tells her, booping her nose. "I'm gonna set you down, but we should pick a part of the room to stay in for the whole dance, okay?"

[biteybaby]

"Why?"

[summerdude]

"Because there's less room for us than an outside feast, and a lot of people here have been having, um, gross grown-up juice, and so we don't want to make them accidentally fall down."

[biteybaby]

"Gross juice makes people fall down?"

[summerdude]

"Gross yucky juice is so gross and yucky it makes people, um, squint from the yucky grossness, and then they can't see us as easily and might trip over us."

[biteybaby]

"Oh and maybe cause I little still them not see me cause they not looking where they going careful."

[summerdude]

"Exactly," Magnus says, booping her nose again. "So what part of the room do you wanna dance in?"

[biteybaby]

"There!" She points to the opposite side of the room. There's nothing particularly notable about it other than the fact that it's Over There instead of Right Here.

[summerdude]

"Okay, bug," Magnus says, settling her back on the floor and taking her tiny little hand in his own. He's hunching over basically in half so she doesn't have to stretch too much. "Lead on!"

[biteybaby]

Sunny takes off to Over There, trying to run despite Magnu holding on to her hand.

[summerdude]

Magnus slows them down to a solid toddler jog, keeping an eye out on everyone they pass.

[biteybaby]

It doesn't take that long for Sunny to get to Over There, because she's real good at going speedy zoom fast, and she also didn't even cause any of the grown ups to trip or anything.

[summerdude]

"Okay, bug. What kind of dance do you want to do?" Magnus asks, pretending to be out of breath with Sunny's zoomy speed.

[biteybaby]

"Wiggle dance!"

[summerdude]

Magnus loves the wiggle dance. He puts his hands up in the air and does a shimmy.

[biteybaby]

Sunny also starts doing the wiggle dance, but the version where her hands are on her hips and she's going back and forth sideways.

[summerdude]

Magnus wiggles his hips the same way Sunny is, and then wiggles his arms even higher.

[biteybaby]

At some point Sunny abandons the wiggle dance and opts instead for the jumping dance.

[summerdude]

"Are we changing our dance?" Magnus asks, doing an experimental little hop.

[biteybaby]

"Jumping dance now."

[summerdude]

"Do you wanna do the jumping dance or the tossing dance?"

[biteybaby]

She looks up. The ceiling is pretty high up in this room. "Tossing!"

[summerdude]

"You got it, boss," Magnus says, taking a few steps away from anything breakable before hoisting Sunny up and giving her a little bitty toss up into the air.

[biteybaby]

Sunny is laughing very loudly! Magnu is sooooo good at this game.

[summerdude]

Magnus grins up at her as he catches her and does a little dip and a twirl before launching her again, the same little bitty toss.
