Open: Takes a lot of medicine to make it through the wintertime

The first day of Dark was difficult enough to get through. When the situation didn't improve after a few days, however, Dionysus really began to worry. That the house would stop cooperating when it comes to creating food at the same time his own powers of generation have become so severely diminished... it doesn't sit easy with him.

He is grateful that he still has some powers, but he's been finding it difficult to produce grapes or wine (or any related products) of any quality, whereas before it came to him like breathing. But he considers it his duty to do what he can to offset the dwindling supplies, so every day he spends a few hours creating what he can: grapes, raisins, cartons of grape juice, and of course, bottles of wine, before diligently distributing it to the various kitchens and eating-places in the house. Wherever he thinks people may go to look for something to eat. Should anyone need him, he shouldn't be too difficult to locate.

Kade hesitates, then comes over and claps him on the shoulder, giving it a light squeeze.

"Thank you," he smiles. "You're very kind."

"I had a lot of students, back home, who struggled with this kind of thing."

[vineleaves]

"...With being cut off from everyone who's unknowingly worshipping them?" That's very specific.

[kadewest]

"With the unexpected consequences of going between Worlds."

[vineleaves]

"That does make more sense, yep."

[kadewest]

Kade grins. "What I'm saying is I can be a pretty good listener."

[vineleaves]

"That's an incredibly useful skill to have!"

[kadewest]

"So," Kade continues, a little more pointedly, "If you ever need one..."

[vineleaves]

"I'll know exactly who to turn to! Thank you, dear, you're incredibly kind. I might also need your tailoring services at some point, I mean, an outfit like this is fairly easy, just big rectangles basically, and it's what I'm used to, I've been wearing this sort of fashion for a few thousand years, but when in Rome, you know. I might want to change things up every now and then, but it's definitely difficult to pick what."

Kade laughs. "Anytime," he says. "I'm great for making clothes, and for figuring out style changes."

[vineleaves]

"Well, where do you think I should start? I'm -- well, I don't exactly look how most people expect a greek god to look." He says that second part a little sheepishly; most of his siblings look a lot more like their statues than he does.

[kadewest]

"Well, how do you want to be received?"

[vineleaves]

He manages to hold back like a god. He's well aware that while he might mean that in the 'god of parties, having a good time, community, and wine', most people would hear 'like a god' and think only of the kind of god his father is. He doesn't want to be received like that.

"I guess it depends on the occasion. That's not overly helpful though, is it?"

[kadewest]

"It's a start! What's the first occasion you can think of where you'd like to wear something different?"

[vineleaves]

"Oh, well, I don't think there's much of anything planned¹ right now..."
