Dionysus is in a kitchen, apron tied over a purple dress with vine details, singing to himself as he uses a melon baller to scoop out a watermelon. The large bowl next to him is already full of honeydew melon and cantaloupe, and he's got a few other ingredients nearby ready to add in once he's done with the watermelon. Mint leaves, some honey, some lemon juice, and some lime juice.

It has been quite an eventful time lately, but overall his life is pretty great right now.

"Don't say that in earshot of the spirits, we'll all wake up pregnant one morning."

"If it were up to you, what would the Something Elses be?"

"... That is a valid point."

"I have seen it with my own eyes."

"That's a great question. Maybe just random names that have nothing to do with my family. There's probably been a lot of nice people named -- I dunno, Erin¹, for example, who deserve a planet named after themselves."

"That's an option. Or maybe just words that aren't normally used for names at all? Like a planet named..." She looks down at her bowl. "Melon."

[vineleaves]

"And you're sure that -- whatever this is, would work to save her?"

[vineleaves]

"Though... that does bring up a question we haven't actually talked about before. Whether or not you've ever wanted to have kids."

[vineleaves]

"Ooh, that's perfect, they're even usually round, like a planet!"

[futaille]

"Oh." He blinks. "I don't know that I've ever struck myself as particularly paternal."

[vineleaves]

"So that's a 'no' then, I take it?" He laughs. "Don't worry, I wasn't asking because I'm suddenly pregnant or anything. Just curious."

[greentara]

"No," calmly. "That's where I may be mad. I have no plan, I am not certain if any plan would work, and there is no way of returning if my plan fails."

[vineleaves]

"Ah. Well, I don't think it's madness, but I do think it's... saying it's 'ill-advised' is a bit of an understatement, dear." He sighs. "I used to have a very good friend who tried something similar, and when it unfortunately failed he -- he never really... recovered."

[sporesprouter]

"One could be melon, one could be orange..."

[futaille]

"Don't get me wrong, I like kids. They're great. It's just that I'm fairly sure I'm also not the best choice to usher one into adulthood."

[vineleaves]

He shrugs. "I think you'd do alright, if you ever decided you wanted to."

[vineleaves]

"Pea..."

[futaille]

Grantaire smiles, just a bit. "I have my doubts. It's a nice thought, though."

[sporesprouter]

"Plenty of options."

[vineleaves]

Dionysus kisses Grantaire. "I do think it's probably in everyone's best interests if we direct any other babies the mansion decides to throw at us in Sagramore's direction for the time being."

[futaille]

An emphatic nod. "Those two are excellent fathers."

[vineleaves]

"I do think any future planets discovered should absolutely be named after round food."

[vineleaves]

"They're sooooo cute with her."

"That sounds like a great idea to me."

[futaille]

"They're amazing with her."
